Lets assume most buddy pairs can assist each other in the adjust phase. And we are not going for uber perfect, though the divers can, just decent distribution.

I would rather stay far far behind.

back then I drove a heavily modifed WRX, I wasn't behind them for long. Now I drive an SS Outback. I'm only passing broken down cars!

At the beginning of the dive, if possible, I'd have the DM (never more than 4 people per one) look over for any egregious trim issues and move some weights to improve the situation, but not necessarily perfect. Then and the safety stop, I'd have the DM clean it up. In 3 minutes, the DM should be able to make adjustments for 4 customers if need be.

I would also make a database for repeat customers to record their configuration for future visits. The Greek islands tend to have repeat customers.

The more interesting bit is how do we wind up with the right weight distribution five minutes into the dive. Assuming clients understand and expect a weight distribution effort, and the dive market does distribution. How does your boat guided op manage distribution.

I didn't become a DM or become a good diver by going to the Caribbean alot and taking classes while there. I did it through alot of local diving in crappy texas lakes.

Part II of the answer to your question:
Based on my comment above: You don't. it is not up to the guide / op to achieve that. That is totally 100% on the diver. The guide is there to guide you on a dive and assist in the even you have issues under water. The guide can help you decide on weights, but its ultimately the divers responsibility to know what to do.

The wing comes with a quick release adjustable harness, ditchable waist weight pockets and cam band trim pockets, not sure if any other brand sells a setup like that.

Ok. So your divers know what to do. And you rent them gear and weights so they can get the distribution they need. How do they achieve distribution with your gear? Did you add trim pockets, how big are the weights.
