Ber Rabbit--thanks for the the range finder idea. It just so happens that this particular lake is surrounded by a golf coure.
I know what you mean about the 14' vs 9'. I started out trrying this on a UW platform that was 15' down. I was never comfortable in feeling like I would make it back to the surface from that depth. That little nagging bit of doubt kept me from succeeding last fall with that skill IMHO.
Well time to feed the hogs, gather the eggs, throw some hay and then off to the LDS(50 miles away) to pick up our new wetsuits and assorted other diving items.
