Can anyone advise on the proper care for neoprene seals. I finally got a new drysuit and opted for the neoprene wrist/neck seals because of their durability. My old drysuit had the latex seals. Can I use talc, silicone, etc. on these seals...Do's and dont's??

I also have neoprene seals for my neck and wrists. For the neck seal, I don't use any seal lube, either powder or liquid. This works because the inside of the seal is covered with nylon jersey material, while the outside (the part that gets tucked under after I don the suit) is covered with the super smooth material (I don't know what it is called) that forms a seal when it comes in contact with skin. If this material was on the inside of the seal, I would have to apply some sort of lube to comfortably don the neck, but the jersey slide over my head just fine.
As for the wrists (they have the smooth material on the inside and therefore require some type of lube), I used talc for a while and found that the I was getting some minor leaking-- the cuffs of my long underwear were a bit damp after each dive. I eventually started using AquaSeal Seal Saver and not only did the leakage stop, I also found that it works far better as a lube than dry talc for these neoprene seals. I know that sounds like a pathetic advertisment, but I couldn't be happier with this stuff.
