What are the chances of actually arranging a boat this year?

I'd say the odds are excellent, unless you expect someone else to make the arrangements. I had very good luck lining up a boat last year, but since no one took advantage of the arrangement and only one person booked a spot on it, it didn't happen. We had a lot of people express interest in the trip, but when push came to shove only 3 of us actually went.

Part of the fun of this outing last year was making it happen. If you want a boat, hire a boat and fill it. Both Capt. Matt Fahey's 'Flounda Pounder' in Hingham, MA, and Boston Diver Services expressed an interest, so you might start with whichever of them works best for you.

Does my 10' zodiac count?

It would have been nice to have last year. If nothing else, it would be handy to put some gear in it and tow it out behind another boat.

It was absolutely a blast last year, and I'd love to go again this time, but my wife and I are expecting a baby at the end of July so I think I'll probably have to take a rain check this time, as much as that hurts.

Congrats to you and the bride! Good luck, Matt. Don't let fatherhood cut too much into your dive schedule.:preggers:

Not too much. We just bought a house near the beach in Cohasset, so I'll be able to sneak off for a couple of hours here and there. I'm already on a may charter for the bow and stern of the City of Salisbury too, so I know I'll get off shore at least once this year. :)

It also makes a great dive flag float

Quincy to Cohasset...WOW! That's a nice move. Since you'll have a Cohasset Beach sticker, don't be shy about inviting a few of your close diving buddies to dive at those Cohasset beaches.:)

I was up on the rocks scouting it out just yesterday. :)
