I am going to try for Sat. I love Cath rocks towards end of day, especially at dusk.

Cath Rocks is best at High tide which on Sat is at 4:13 PM. It's usually ok to enter about an our before and I can usually get in two dives. Parking is convenient (suit up close to entry) however parking spots are limited. You must park on right side (by wall) and not on left. (private)

I'm playing it by ear. Forecast is for Thunderstorms late PM. Winds are starting to pick up Fri night but at least in right direction (from SW)

If it's a go, I'm thinking meeting at 2:30 for in time of 3:00, 3:15.

I'll post on board if going for sure. It would be good to meet everyone.

My friend's schedule can only dive earlier in the day so I have to back out on the Sat evening dive.

I definately want to get out to Cathedral Rocks soon! Have fun and I hope you post a dive report afterwards.

I'm in for late Saturday at Cat rocks... (I'd even be in for it tomorrow (which I was hoping for...))

I just checked yahoo weather. The new forcast for July 5th is partly cloudy and temps around 75°. Are we all a go for 2:30ish at Cathedral Rocks? I'll be there, hopfully not alone. I'll be driving a green Yucon......Al

Mike, Al,

I'm shooting to be at Cath rocks at 2:30. I need to get my tanks filled on way in so I'll be at Cape Ann Divers at 2:00ish.

Did two dives off there yesterday afternoon. Conditions were ideal. Great vis, easy entry/exit. Water still chilly at depth (45-47 ish)

I'm driving Black Saab 900 (NH Tags)

Still watching weather though.. As of 4:54 PM

Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers in the afternoon. Scattered thunderstorms late. Some thunderstorms may contain damaging winds. Highs 80 to 85 along the coast. And 85 to 90 inland. Southwest winds 10 mph increasing early in the afternoon to 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Chilly [45 bottom, 59 surface] but good. Thermocline was pretty pronounced around 30 feet; and the vis dropped considerably at that point also [from perhaps 30 to 15 ft]. near to no surge; conditions were great!

I might join you guys tomorrow; depending on what time I get up.

I'm so tempted to join you all, I had a great time yesterday. But me think I must clean the house and get some rest. Have some great dives.

It's not often conditions are like this. The winds have been from SW most of week so vis is great. No better way to cool off. Purposely doing late PM as I too have stuff to do on home front. I'm sure I can convince Mike, Al to be your personal dive sherpa's?

No problem, I can do pack-mule duty if need be. I'm just getting my gear packed up now.

I can't decide wether to drive up in the yukon (big roomy SUV), or my Wrangler with no doors or top. It's a perfect day for a jeep ride to the beech. There's just no way to secure my gear either at the dive site or at any stops on the way home. Whatever...I'll be heading up shortly after noon.......Al
