On my Belize 2007 Pilot trip there was talk about a third Swath vessel. Nekton's crew told us plans were submitted to the USCG a few years ago. I can't imagine the costs involved to build a new vessel of Swath design. Folks were are talking millions & millions of dollars here. I understand the engines running both the Pilot & Rorqual are leased because they are worth about a million each! The engineer told me last year to replace the door on the Rorqual's salon was around $4,000. The cost is high because it must comply with marine regulations.
Nekton's best advertising is their regular customers.:14:
Now, I am going on the Rorqual NW Bahamas trip Sept 15, 2007 with only six divers booked.
But, I also decided to book the following trip to Cay Lobos on Sept 22, 2007 with eleven divers.
We need more divers on both trips!
