Will your "friend" let you try diving them? Does he know if they're the negative, or neutral version? I have the negative version (from the same ODS mold) and they are just dandy on my floaty feet. Its also stiff/easy to feel where they are in the water, unlike some of my longer fins (F1s, Jets, IDI power,etc).
