ok I am going to visit some friends up in ill. bir Cold water !!!!
near a area called metropolis , is there any diving any wear near there . think its close to kentucky border not sure have to look still , thanks

If you mean Illinois, there's no part that's close to any part of Kentucky. If the friends dive, you should just ask them about local opportunities. If they don't, give us a little better (more precise) description of your destinatio and I'm sure someone can point you to a site.

Actually, the south side of Illinois is bordered by Kentucky.

Found a map that shows Metropolis. It is on the Ohio River at the very southern end of the state. I am up in Chicago, and not very familiar with the south part of the state.

It seems that I'm reallynot familiar with that part of your state either! Wouldn't it be great if MapQuest could take a city or ZIP and a range and give a list of all the dive operations/sites.
