need help choosing right speargun

New to spearfishing and looking to buy speargun, mostly going to hunt freshwater lakes but looking at a jbl magnum30" or a ab biller padukah 24", both seem to have there pros and cons, need a little helpp though from experienced hunters

I wouldn't choose either of those guns..

Most freshwater guys I know are shooting euro rail guns, like the Mako or Hammerhead, length depending on the vis.

Find some good local divers and see what they recommend.

Look up the Rocky Mountain Spearfishing Association.
