I mainly want a bungee wrist compass and have only come across a few of them,XS Scuba and Hog. Now with the Hog I see they advertize two different kinds. One saying Bungee wrist compass while the other says Pro Bungee wrist compass. What makes it a Pro? The pictures both look the same to me.You are welcome to voice opinions or suggestions for any other brand compass if you feel there are better options.Eyes aren't what they used to be so need easy reading too.

I'd suggest getting a Suunto SK7/SK8 and a DSS bungee mount. Pretty much the gold standard in wrist mounted compasses

Thanks for the suggestion. I just ordered the bungee mount and bungee from DSS,now to order the Sunnto SK8.

I've been using the SK7 in a DSS mount for many years. Might I suggest you wear it atop your right hand as it's a more natural position and doesn't require contorting also it moves it further from you eyes making it easier to see if you have aging eyes like me, I'm getting farsighted. If you need help with lacing bungee (it's a little different from wrist lacing) or how to wear atop right hand let me know via this thread or a PM and I'll send photos and/or walk you through it.

You can't get much better than the petrel 2 compass........oh...it's also a full deco computer.....beat that Suunto![emoji38]

Personally, ergonomically speaking, I find the SK7 atop right hand easier to use in application than the Petrel. YMMV.

I would like to see that. Please post in this thread. I can see how that would be easier and to also be able to wear your computer still on the right wrist

I don't know about the Hog, but DGX has a Tech and a Pro, and the Pro is simply taller to allow for reading at a greater pitch angle. Considering the nature of most of Hog's accessories, I would imagine the same applies.

The Suunto is the gold standard, no reason not to go with an SK8.

Yep,I'd like to see that.
I have to get a prescrition from my eye doctor and then have lens made for my mask.I can't read the computer which I am just starting to learn how to operate and comprehend. The compass on the wrist would be easier for me to navigate with.My old compass from the 70's couldn't take the years of storage in the heat.
