Hello
hows everyone doing, well im seamus from Ireland and now living in Canada halifax.
here is where i need some advice , i done my open water and advanced padi a number of years ago now 2004(my god time flys) in Australia . I was there for the year and was lucky enough to to a number of dives around the great barrier reef, the liveaboard dives were the best . since then i only done a hand full of dives ,thailand ,ireland ,furentaventura.

Now i have not dived in over 2 years so really is a refresher dive good enough , i feel like i wont remember anything , will it all come back or should i do a course again before i dive , i dont want to go into a dive shop here and make a fool out of myself on the first organised dive i go on .

any advice will be much appreciated

You have already answered your own question. You feel like you don't remember anything and your afraid your going to make a fool out of yourself. If I were in your shoes I might think about locating a instructor or very knowledgeable diver to mentor you in a pool first before going on a dive.

I would second the vote to go do a refresher. Some dive shops will even let you get in for free (or very little cost) if you go when their staff will already be in the pool with a class. It's technically recommended to do a refresher if you've been out of the water for 6 months or longer, but since you already feel you need it, go get it.
