I am planning to dive from the "Blue Explorer" at the end of this month on a business trip to San Diego. The destination is the kelp forest near Pt. Loma. As a novice diver, I could use some advice on the conditions, the operator, anything from those who know the area.

I dove with DiveConnections out there about a month ago. We did the Coronados Islands and Wreck Alley. Most outfits in Cal run pretty good programs.

Temps average in the high 50's, low 60's. Viz was 30-40ft. Most serve food and fill tanks on the boat.
