Need advice on choosing dive computer watch!

I am a beginning NAUI scuba divier who would like to buy a dive computer watch I can use for diving and everyday usage. Plusses would be if it had a compass and was fashionable. Anyone know any suggestions. If I could find a watch which combined the Aqualand with the XR-2 it would be perfect . I heard the Citizen Aqualand NX has a dive computer - any comments on that?

Citizen Aqualand NX - not much info on it but has fashion, dive computer, and everyday use. No compass?

Nemo titanium - looks good, not much info, high price no compass

Oceanic VEO 180 (Not much in terms of reviews, has dive computer built in, not for everyday use?)

Citizen Hyper Aqualand (very fashionable, digital but doesn't track decompression sickness)

Citizen Aqualand Eco-Drive (very fashionable but not digital and doesn't track decompression sickness)

Aerix Xr-2 (battery life is low, not very fashionable, no compass)


So I guess it's between the Citizen Aqualand NX and Nemo titaniu? Any feedback?

I think the Aeris Epic is small enough to wear as a watch and is a full function air integrated compouter. Expensive (about $1000 for the watch and transmitter), but hea... more toys.

How about trying either the Oceanic Geo or the Aeris Manta??

You might want to take a look at the Oceanic Geo, it's fairly close in price to the Veo 180, but it has a butt-load more features and can be used for free diving. It also looks like a pretty fashionable watch, and functions as such. I was considering this one myself, but I have decided to save cash and go for second hand goods.

If I can help you with the Aeris Manta or Epic let me know. I have some specials on them going on. I would probably scratch the citizens off your list. They are great watches but not dive computers.
