the Maui Vista is reasonably inexpensive and conveniently located in Kihei. Only about a block and a half from the best dive shop on island (Maui Dreams), and not too far from the boat ramp, either.

Robin, it just depends when you are going as to how expensive condos are to rent. We go at peak time there- Feb/March, and when it's cold at home . . .That's when the whales are there, too.

you can check out vrbo.com. . .it's your friend. . . .also, if you can't find anything there, you can google the condo complex name and then you can find private owner rentals, as well.

For several years we rented privately with an owner at Maui Banyon. Last year when we were there, we used Maui Condo & Home Vacations to find a place fast, when another source dried up at the last minute. We were able to stay at Maui Vista last year. These are both in prime spots in Kihei and have outsid showers for rinsing off gear. We also used the lanais to dry gear off, on the chairs, etc.

Try to get reservations as far ahead as you can. . . some people go back to the same condos over and over so they have set reservations.

HTH, Maggi
