I am one of those that gets neck rash with latex neck seals. I read that using baby shampoo can mak it more pronounced and that KY might help. Can anyone confirm to this? I have a sensitive neck and even shaving with a razor (I'm using electric now) sometimes irritates my neck. So I really think it's more a stubble irritation. Switching to neoprene is not an option.

I have the same basic problem, and I agree on the stubble. I don't get a rash (that would indicate an allergic reaction I would assume), but my neck gets red where the seal is. Not much you can do about it except make sure your seal isn't any tighter than it has to be. Talc may help somewhat, but I see no help from KY, and would not use shampoo as the soap would be an irritant.

My wife was getting lots of rashes from neoprene and besides buying a goldcore suit, I found this cream that seems to have really helped her a lot! It creates a waterproof barrier and when she uses it, so far no rash. It's not too expensive to try it out.

We're looking into drysuits and I'm wondering how she will handle the latex; she's had to go to nonlatex gloves at work.

Good luck

Tony.
