Included in these programs will be updated information that certifies participants in new and revised 2015 Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and practices.
According to Mark Gresham, President and CEO of PSI-PCI, The DOT regularly issues new updates and guidelines for professional cylinder inspections. Our programs are developed in conjunction with regulatory agencies including the DOT and Compressed Gas Association to meet each of the existing AND newly introduced requirements for testing cylinders. With the strong existing relationships they have, PSI-PCI is able to provide the most up to date training available. PSI-PCI certifications provide dive professionals an added level of respect and recognition from professionals both inside and outside of the dive industry.
He adds that in 2015, new ISO standards are scheduled to be introduced, along with Haz-Mat certification requirements and on-going DOT regulations required of every cylinder handler. . The slate of training and certification programs from PSI-PCI meets the requirements for scuba diving professionals.
In 2015, PSI-PCI has already scheduled training opportunities starting with the World of Water Show in Dallas, Texas January 24-25. According to PSI-PCI officials, additional opportunities are available at a variety of venues and are posted on the Show Schedule page of their website. They also have many professional PSI-PCI Instructors throughout the US and many locations internationally available to provide training on a more individual or group schedule.
