There is actually a little disagreement about which member of The Who actually thought up the name. John Entwistle claims he did.
Jimmy Page says "...Keith Moon gave us the name. We've always credited him with that. Maybe John Entwistle did think of the name & told Keith Moon. In which case I suppose he might have cause to be a bit angry."

But everone's doing it.
Yeah. When I was a kid, everybody wore bell bottoms. Fortunately, they could be easily removed without leaving scars. :hippy:

Well it may have not been "physical" scars during that time period but......

hehe.. gotcha. :boxing:

i have my nipples pierced not my belly button, but it doesn't seem to be a problem, although it does raise a few eyebrows when i take off the top half of my wetsuit on the dive boat, but other than a few uncomftorable stairs i have had no problems with diving and my piercings. the wet suit is tight enough that there really is no rub and it basically just holds them in place. I even play rugby with my piercings and that is way more dangerous.

why dont you just buy a drysuit and then she can go diving right away. hehe all of a sudden a belly button ring becomes a 1000 expense. Good Luck!

brilliant!

i now have a reason to give my wife on why i NEED that drysuit...

now i gots to get my courage up to get the piercing...

(see... there's a snag on every plan, and if you've ever worn braces you know
what i mean)

Eli:
People who get their bodies pierced probably are unaware of the original meaning of the act.
Any body piercing, even an earring, marked you as someones slave, their personal property.

So even having your ears pierced marked you as someones personal property! It didnt say what nipple or navel piercing meant ;).

And I suspect if someone is collared that means the same thing hey!!!! What's the big deal?

ahhhh just buy a clip on and then get the dry suit. Tell her a shark bit it off with precision. At least you'll get some extra attention (at least of a few minutes) ;-) hehehe

I have had mine pierced and never have a problem with diving. The wound took me a good few months to heal but I kept catching it when picking my son up so that delayed it healing. I agree seawater helps and if in the pool spray with savlon wash when you get out (anticeptic) just to make sure no bacteria are around. If you are not diving for a while I would get it done now so it is less sore when you dive and just wear a tankini in the pool instead of a wetsuit. PS It will look great by the summer when you can wear your crop tops etc.
