Meeting up at Navarre Pier at 9AM to dive the pier from the beach if conditions cooperate. Depths to 30-40'? Not positive as it'll be a first time dive for me at this site.

If conditions are good, we'll then head to Pensacola Beach Reef and do a second tank there with depths to 25'.

Water should be good an warm by then and both sites should provide alot of life to look at!

If everything goes according to plan, and somebody doesn't mind looking out for somebody fresh out of OW class I am in. Also were exactly is Pensacola Beach Reef?

Nate

Newbie's welcome! Pensacola Beach Reef is a few hundred feet East of the Pensacola Beach Pier.

Goodluck with the OW classes.

Just curious, but what are you gonna do with your screen name several years down the line when you consider yourself better than newbie? LOL

I will probably change it shortly, before people get to know me as newbie.

If our classes stay on schedual or their is no problems this will be my first dives, after getting certified. I hope it works out I would like to get a couple of dives in before Memorial Day weekend, I am going to dive at epcot while I am down there visiting some buddies.

I saw that you dive the Pensacola area. Our Boy Scout Troop has a scuba diving group that wants to go diving the Pensacola area in late June. Do you have any suggestions for dives? Some of us have 30-40 dives but they are local lake dives. Others would be fairly new with 5-15 dives. Suggestions?

I answered your PM :)

New screen name, check.

Class on schedual, Kinda.

I am still in for one dive that morning. Got to get back home for mothers day or I would hit both. Just hope we do all checkout dives next weekend.

Nate

You know I'm in. Really looking forward to these dives. Nate don't feel bad I haven't got a whole lot of dives in either. My first dive after cert was off Ft. Pickens with more current than I would have liked, but it was a great dive.

Fort Pickens is alotta fun, I miss its accessibility. I've had to crawl and pull on the bottom there on more than one occasion :)
