RJP .... I've always liked you

The quote in my original post is exactly what the invoice says [I've just checked it]
Now that you have suggested this possible scenario, I have come up with a number of possible interpretations to see which which will suit me best :rofl3:

I think it's simply poorly worded and/or you're just misreading it. I read the above as "the invoice includes everything but..."

  • + Port Fee ($65)
  • + Nitrox ($100)
  • + whatever your bar tab is

Price includes: all taxes except for a 65$ per person port fee payable on board + nitrox + 100$ bar tab

Hi R

I work in Finance dealing with many different currencies
and I have got into the habit of writing as I speak

ie.

I would say '100 pounds', so I often write 100£ or 100GBP
because you know the number before the currency

I mean that perhaps the OP misread it - and therefor mistyped it.

The fact that the OP is also putting the "$" after the dollar amount (65$ vs $65) leads me to believe that something is amiss on either one end or the other.

LOL Mike

Thanks for your mail, this clears things up .... a little

I knew you wouldn't add a flat bar bill, that's why I read this is disbelief when I received my invoice
I didn't know you were including the previous night hotel, nitrox, tranfers :shakehead:

And seriously, I travel really badly in a lower deck cabins [the crossing to Cocos almost killed me] and have been meaning to call you to ask how much more it will be for an upper deck cabin [I just assumed it would be mega bucks, so I didn't call you]

your website does say micro brews @ 5.30$

Thanks very much, I'm looking forward to my trip in May

:shakehead: Mike here from the Nautilus. Very sorry for confusion. Pure typo and nothing more. Actually 2 typo's. Imported micro-brew beer are $3.50 not $5.30. And absolutely 100% i would never consider adding a flat rate bar tab to anyone's bill!! I believe this in reference to a value added special that we are offering INCLUDING $100 bar tab with our compliments for each guest as well as prior night hotel, nitrox, transfers, $65 port fee and complimentary accommodation upgrade (space available)..

Really hope this makes sense now!!! I'm happy and available to take any calls or answer any questions. 604-241-1918. Mike

Hi - is this Judith?

I've been reading the invoice all morning and decided that it is just poorly written and I have completely miss-interpreted it [because it is poorly written]

I'll call you later and clear this up
We have a public holiday this weekend and I was going to book the hotel & transfers today so it will be good to understand if I need to still do this

Please can I have an upper deck cabin :D

Thanks very much, I'm looking forward to my trip in May

By the way - I wouldn't mind a "prix fixe" $100 bar tab for a week...

:-)

Sounds like it has worked out exactly the opposite and actually a heck of a deal. Good job Nautilus.

As your tea reference points out, individual interests aren't determined by country.

But by the time you got there when the war was already ending... Did you forget your compass?

And after you got your a$$ handed to you by the Japanese... :D

That's some interesting revisionist history that they teach in Europe. Maybe you can send back the 80k soldiers we have in Europe to hold your hands and protect you from being taken over by Albania. We would, however, prefer if you would let the other 104,366 soldiers we left behind rest in peace.

As for Japan, we all know how well that turned out for them.

FYI, our beer is much better now. Leave it to old Sam Adams to agitate for kicking out the British in the 1700s, and then their beer over 200 years later.;)

Yeah Yeah ....

But, I bet you'll be watching the coverage of our Royal Wedding on Friday
