There is no such thing as GUEF. Figure it out.

What is this? Another troll? Or were you stupid enough to do a deep air dive?

Sound like another one of your fantasies.

There is no such thing as a GUE fundamentals class? Damn, I must have just dreamt that Andrew and MHK taught this class.

Check out the GUE web site. There is a whole bunch of stuff on the fundamentals class. It's for real. No trolling on this one. GUEF is a fairly common acronym for this class.

PS That stuff about 180' on air in the IANTD Technical Diver class is above board too. This was a couple of years ago but I'm sure they are still teaching that crap. They may call it technical nitrox but it says technical diver on this useless piece of plastic they gave me.

The class is actually called DIR Fundamentals but I knew what was meant.

Let's all be nice on New Years day. Even I will be!

Nah, I'm ok. I just wanted to have a nice peaceful day to start the year.

At the time I posted my question, I was legitimately confused as to what has was referring to with GUEF. I wasn't reading it as GUE-F, so to speak.

Windiate! Three masted schooner out of Presque Isle, MI. You hit one of the two standing masts at 90', descend past the crows nest, hit the deck at about 165', mud is at 180'. This one is upright, in tact, and an incredible wreck from the 1800's.

A buddy of mine and former co-worker did this one for several days in a row this past August. He and a couple of others then did a presentation at our dive club with video and stills. It was truly impressive. Chains still lining the deck for balance while the ship was caught in the ice, and the row boat sat down gently beside it near the stearn.

He claims it's his all-time favorite also.

What mix and/or stages did you choose to use on this one? (you can PM if you don't want to publicize). I'm just comparing what he used, with some calcs I ran recently in V-Planner.

Sunk of the Coast of Townsville in 1911 - killing all 110 passengers on board - as the result of a cyclone.

Its pretty shallow - only in 18-30metres, and is INCREDIBLE!! The fish/pelagic/invertebrate life is countless and you are just about guaranteed turtles chewing on the sponges & coral!

My favourite dive EVER!
