I can confirm that the time (and potentially any off gassing calcs) are the only thing that seems lost by taking off the battery.

Gibby, Any updates on the software?

Same issue for me yesterday. On my second dive the low battery indicator came on during my safety stop and the computer display began to flash eratically - especially the depth. My buddy and I were hanging on a line at 15 ft and the computer was showing depths from 5-20 ft!? Also, the safety stop timer disappeared from the display. So we used my buddies computer to finish timing the safety stop.

The battery and computer are only 5 months old ... 25 dives and 22.5 hrs in the history. Rather disapointing when Zeagle claims that the average battery life is 3 years .... NOT.

The computer is a nice design otherwise but the above coupled with the lousy log software and poor Windows 7 compatibility and no Mac compatibility makes me wish I had bought another brand. Too bad.

OK.... so now I am at the point I did not want to be.

For whatever reason my "low battery" indicator is ON. It is ON within 6 months of buying the computer but that is a matter for discussion on a different day.

If I change the battery for this weekend's dive I will loose my dive log information.

Please HEEEEEELLLLLLPP!

Unfortunately, I am now suspicious of any electronics or new product from Zeagle because of this Computer issue.
The lack of research and testing before a product is released to market is disturbing. It would be nice to have the $600 dollars back to buy a Sherwood or Suunto.

What?!?! :shocked2: You mean to say you don't enjoy having a big plastic, $150.00 "clothes pin" in your collection?!?!
I've "owned" mine for a year and half now! And after multiple e-mails to Gibby and Zeagle over that period of time, I find that the best use for it has been (and still is!) holding papers together on my desk!
On the up side, it does make a great conversation piece when people walk in and see it! :rofl3:

I will clarify one thing... I have nothing against Zeagle. They have been nothing but helpful. The hardware built by them such as my drysuit, my three set of regs or my bcd's are probably the best gear I have ever owned in over 10 years of diving.

Epson-Seiko on the other side, I will never ever buy a single item from them again.

Did I mention that I am the head of the IT purchasing department of a big trans-national bank?

There you go Seiko.

Best regards,

D

I agree with dmainou somewhat, but I do hold Zeagle a little responsible. I am sure that they are still receiving and shipping out the N2ition 3. Just like alot of people I have a $150 clothes pin and it does not even do that job very well. I make sure and tell everyone that asks about my dive computer how displeased I am. So as of right now I don't really care how good any of the other product Zeagle makes this was my first and last Zeagle product I ever purchase. I will be looking for a new dive computer from a company that really stands behind their product. Although all the blame can't be placed with Zeagle at least some can be and at this point all I've seen and heard is them placeing blame on Seiko.

I think that is a bit harsh. Then make sure you never buy a Dive Rite, Cressi or Apex product (amongst others)

They sell the exact same computer made by Seiko rebranded with their name.

I presume that if they were able to twist Seiko's arm they (combined or alone) would already have done so.

The computer does underwater what it says it does. There are things that can be improcved but it certainly does what it says it does.

The download capability is sh#t but you are able to download.

Once I have downloaded the dives I then export them to DivingLog and don't look back.
