We left out of Clw this morning at 7:30am and made two dives. The first dive was in 48' on a 4-6' ledge. 15nm west of Ozona. Vis was about 15-20. There were lots of moon jellies.
Funny scare..... I was cruising the ledge minding my own business in a trance of flashing sliver. I was surrounded by bait..... all of a sudden I feel like someone grabbed my thigh with a sandpaper glove unexpectedly.
I had a pesky remora trying to grab a hold of me. I started to gain my composure until I looked back towards the ledge and the whole ledge started moving. I realized I stumbled upon a huge Goliath chilling under the ledge. It was AWESOME. It all happened simultaneously. ( very surreal)
The second dive was at the Veterans three barges. vis seemed a little better 20-25'. We saw the normal gang.... snook, goliath, lil gags and reds, cuda, lil hogs. It was a good day diving....
