My wife is learning to dive!

SWMBO and I took our OWC together when we were dating. (After a tiny little slip and slide while ice climbing together she informed me that I stood a better chance of growing wings and flying than I did of getting her to do THAT again!)

Now it's something we do together as much as possible. It's our thing. We even got engaged at 100 FSW. Buying gear for two is expensive but I comfort myself with the knowledge that ice climbng gear is even more expensive (and a whole lot more likely to kill you!)

My wife has now passed the written test and has done great in the first 2 pool sessions! So far she seems to be loving it! I think it was a good sign when the morning after her first pool dive she said to me "I think I am going to like diving more than you do!"

Since I am friends with her dive instructor (John), I've been hanging around for a lot of her classes and it's been fun to watch her going through it all.

Tomorrow we're going gear shopping for her new BC and hopefully the wet suit we ordered for her will be in as well!

Lemme see: I have four expensive hobbies, one of which is dormant. In order, I love to fly; she doesn't want to go flying with me, so why go get myself recurrent? I love to sail. She doesn't. I love to ski. She's lost all her confidence at that. I love to dive. She's tried it twice, won't try it again.

Now--someone remind me of why I married her?
