hello folks,
Today a couple of hrs ago we found out my wife is pregnant which brought joy to my hart. Now it hit me, about a month a go we booked a live a board on the Cortez Sea. Ofcourse i'm a rebreaher diver my wife is open scuba and any time we vacation it's around somewere we can dive. Now can some one tell me if she can dive. She is about 3 weeks and we will be out there at the end of july. She'll be 2months and a half pregnant. Does any one have any info or experiences that you can shut my way. Maybe any ladies who have dove while being pregnant?

Knowing I'm NOWHERE NEAR being a doctor, I'd assume it wouldn't pose any issues as long as you're extra dilligent about offgassing, take extra long safety stops and stay fairly shallow. Like I said, I'm about as far from a doctor as they come, so DON'T take my advice without asking someone more qualified first.

Please consult DR professional opinion...
don't take any risk...
congratulation future "Daddy"...
Good dive safe dive

Why

I'd have to agree, talk to you doc, but I wouldn't risk it... use the time to knit a little wet suit for the new Diver. CONGRATS!

Is diving really important enough to subject your unborn kid to fetal offgassing experiments?

Really, your talking an experiment that no medical ethicist would ever sign off on. Is it worth it?

Edit: BTW congrats!

It will be if the little one pops out with gills.

they will all say no.

and she will be having morning sickness, so better start making a new plan about being on a boat for a week.
