2. freshwater lakes and reservoirs (unless absolutely necessary... I'm a marine biologist)

I once met an Army biologist that said he would dive lakes but wouldn't dive Marines. I wonder why? :D

Sorry, couldn't resist...

Cozumel: too many cruise ships filled lwith too many buffet monkeys!!! Is there any more dangerous diver in the world, than a diver in a hurry, because they have to rush back to the boat for their thrice daily gorging. Blow up the docks, sink the floating cities, give the divers back our best dive spots. Add grand Cayman, and a few others that are getting close to San Miguel status. I mean, really does Bonaire really need the few extra bucks that these zombies put into the island, as a tradeoff for wrecking such magnificent ecosystems.

I think the folks in the Plaza are pretty happy to see those cruise ships come in. But I would only go there during the off season myself

ThatsSomeBadHatHarry:
Death Valley.

I'd love to dive Death Valley, they have a divable cave there but access is restricted by Uncle Sam :(

Yep, saw something about it on Nova or National Geographic or something like that.

Well were do I start....

Great Salt Lake, there isn't anything fun to see except shrimp. And at twenty feet with 45 lbs you wont sink anymore.

Waste water plan. As a commercial diver I was less fortunate to dive in one.

Those would have to be my two worst among others.

1) In caves. I don't get the appeal...I just want to see the pretty fish.
2) If anyone ever revives the "King Harbor U/W Cleanup," I won't do that again. Very limited viz to start, and very fine nasty silt the moment anyone picks something up off the bottom. It's probably filthy as well.
3) Lake Perris.
4) Under ice. No thanks on a number of levels.
