Don't hate me. I dislike Jellyfish lake. hey....I am sorry! I love Palau, go there every chance I get, but please don't pressure me to swim in what looks like/feels like upchuck. It smells like sulfa and I know there are huge crocs hiding in those mangroves stalking Japanese snorkelers. And down deep, it is poisonous, I saw it on TV. Just tell me about the unique microclimate and regressive evolution, and what incredible ecosytem marine lakes are, but it is not necesary to go there. If I know the day the boat is going, please let me sleep in and visit the jail. But no curve balls once we are out on the boat! Just the thought of thoses gelatinous organisms all over my skin gives me flashbacks. Yes, I tried, I swam half way out, then I started thinking about the crocodiles and I looked down into the deep and it was a soupy murky green and the sensation of the jellyfish on my body just was more than I could take. It must upset the beneficial flora of your body, at the very least, this broth of organisms. I wouldn't be surprised if the locals got together and conspired to see if we would all pay extra just for the chance to swim in jellyfish lake, as a joke.

Dutch Springs, PA: It's freshwater, there are no fish, and every structure worth seeing was placed there by the owner of this mudhole......boring

For river diving with crocs, I hear the Nile is peachy keen.

Dang, Don beat me.

You can always dive with crocs in Costa Rica. :D

Nile is croc free North of the Aswan Dam.
Lake Ayre for me or maybe the Sea of Tranquility.

How about anywhere there are Hippos? I think they're a bigger risk to humans. None in the St.Lawrence river, tho - cool river to dive, if you can dodge the barges. ;)

I'm thinking about passing on the future Septic Tank dives. Time for the other guys to get introduced to the pleasures of Poo. And that ain't Poo Bear!

Gary D. :D

Bowling Green Missouri, vis was so poor you had to hold hands or tether with your buddy so as not to lose them. Forget about using a compass because you can't see it, same for guages.

Hong Kong harbor...never again. Yecch!
