First of all....I'm pretty a political....but my my mom, a staunch repubilcn greated the president in Tampa todoay,,,,She actually got to talk with our pres..Go mom at 80!!!!

Way to go Mom...I have met both the President and Vice President and they are actually down to earth guys. We talked about farming and baling hay with Travis Tritt....however, Frist and Thompson were both male reproductive appendages. Drove once in the President's dad's motorcade and he seemed ok too...just not as outgoing, but Ronald Wilson Reagan was a hoot!!!! Funnier than any comic I've ever heard.
I miss RR. He'd know how to handle Hugo and what's his face from Iran.

A couple years ago, a police officer whom I had trained and had moved onto another agency earned a lunch with the pres. Mike (the officer) had saved the life of a child who had been kidnapped by a raving lunatic. Mike and his partner ended up in a shootout with the suspect, neutralizing the suspect and getting the child out safely. Mike told me, after the lunch, that the pres. was very friendly and down to earth.
