first ... your friend has a good buddy !

second...I heard this before.

We have a friend who is also a good diver bla bla , until he suddenly became very prone to dcs. Its true that we push the envelope a little but this creeped up too quick to be unexplained. after his third time in the chamber we found out that he was dieting and exercising heavily to control his cholesterol level which was a wee high prior to these incidents.

We found out also that he was on these bodybuilding protein powders and written in small print on the pack was " increases nitrogen absorption"

He quit this drinks and after a few months got back to diving and he is now fine and still diving.

I strongly suggest you check what this guy has been eating.
