I still suck.. you definitely wouldn't want to watch me play. We played in the "recreational" grouping... it was for players with a ranking less than 1400... and that's pretty low. I'm not even ranked.

Oh... the little squares you asked about... yes, they are wet and are for cleaning your shoes so you don't slip.
 
I have a crappy little foldout table that was given to me by someone (2 pieces of plywood type of thing). It's hard finding someone to play with around here, but when I do find someone, we have a hell of a time! Mostly because we both suck at it and get to rub it in when we actually make a good shot.

It's quite funny watching that kid training with the instructor, because they're hitting it way faster than we do when we play... guess that's just how it is :D
