Thanks for sharing your experience. I hope that you are continuing to improve, and that your doctor gives you the "OK" to resume diving. A few comments:
1) Your description of the "Chamber 6" ride was very accurate (noise, warmth on pressurization, etc.), and brought back memories. ( shudder....).
I, too needed some "chemical assistance" to get through the process.(6 rides)
2) IMO, the worst part about an "unexpected" hit is that you have nothing to "avoid doing...", to decrease the likelihood of another one. When you post the profiles, you'll probably get a lot of input/advice/analysis from the good people at SB.
3) DandyDon is right regarding the DAN insurance- they pick up after your primary health insurance does its thing. Be sure to keep records, bills, etc. In my experience with the DAN insurance, the service was excellent.
