Diving Edmonds UW park you are adjacent to the ferry dock. When the car ferry comes you feel the thrum of the engines and the props in your soul - you'd swear it was 10' overhead even though there is a sunken dry dock barrier between you and the ferry.Have you ruled out a commercial vessel? The first time a lake freighter/bulk carrier went directly over me while diving in the St Lawrence River I figured my time was up. The sound envelopes you and you have no idea where it is coming from.
