My broken leg...

How true lol.
It is still a half a mile. That is a long way with two steel tanks.
LOL, I was used to US and the Mexican DMs that often leave you alone, here in Japan every time I went to pick something up it was like "No no, we will carry that."
If someone wants to schlep my gear, I will gladly let them!

It will be eight weeks this coming Friday since I broke my leg. I had a bit of a set back getting out of a booth at Longhorn Steak House, twisting my left ankle. I had to go back to sitting in my recliner watching the world go by without being able to be a part of it. Grrrrr. I had made promises that I couldn't keep and so forth and I was back on the crutches to get around. Grrrrrrrrr. But the weekend was good, and I started walking again, this time without the cane. Oh, it's slow. Glacial. Turtles pass me. But I got to go out to the workshop and was able to sharpen lawn mower blades as well as tidy up a bit. Did I mention I'm slow? That's OK, I got 1843 steps in yesterday and hope to exceed 2000 today. I don't want to overdo it, but I do want to improve every day. Push it just a bit. I am hurting a bit, but not at the breaks. It seems the rest of my body has gotten used to sitting, and is complaining about the increased use. C'est la vie! OK, enough posting for a bit. I'm going to try to walk to the fence and back. I might need to pack a lunch. 
Edit: I just finished the walk to the fence and back. Probably about 500 yards and I went over 1000 steps already for the day. Yeah, there was some pain and a bit of discomfort in the broken area site. Not much and I attribute it to my muscles relearning how to use my leg. Ma~ was there and came inside with me at the end. I need to run a few errands, but I have to rest first. Probably use the cane some for the next bit of the day.

Mini-update... yesterday I managed 3,073 steps. Wow. Wow. Wow. I'm not even hurting when I woke up this morning. I know it's nothing for everyone else in the world, but it's a huge achievement for me. I was feeling so good this morning, that I was able to wake up and do an early morning amble out to the fence and back with both Ma~ and Mischka trotting along side me. Watching their hunting shenanigans is always worth the price of admission. I stopped by the 2 ten pound dumbbells and did some quick calisthenics, organized the shoes on the porch and went up the steps up with my bad leg taking every other step like a normal person. No undue stress. No pain. No wincing. Just joy.
Naggy, my Garmin Descent smart watch, is being cautious and has given me a goal of 1,490 steps. I'm almost half way there already this morning and my real goal is to do 2,000 steps give or take for the next several days. I think my head is clearing and I think the exercise is the reason. It gets the blood coursing a bit and that's good for cognition.

Mini-update... I did 3,030 steps yesterday and went to Hackerspace. Found a lot of swelling when I got home and am taking it very easy today. Sometimes you're the windshield, but more often, you're the bug.
You're continuing to be patient with yourself, which is good. You're getting there.
