I've been really happy with this mask...ummm or WAS :06:

I got back from diving Saturday, and noticed that one side of my mask frame was all bent out, and the plastic looked stressed. Not sure how this happened? I keep the mask in a mask bag in my wet bag, and there is really nothing in there that would have caused it stress.

In any event, I went to see if I could bend the frame back into place as it was not going to dive right otherwise, and the frame just snapped off...

This mask has maybe 25 dives on it. I'm a bit PO'd that this thing broke so easily. Looking at the construction of the external frame, it's cheap, and very narrow (not much beef in that plastic).

While I liked the fit and view using the Mythos, I'll never purchase another, the construction is just NOT what one would expect in a mask that retails for $80.

I just ordered a Mares XVision...Black on Black, of course! :D

I've tried the Mares in the pool, so fit is good...

Anyone else had problems with the Mythos breaking?

Yep, same problem here. My wife's mask broke at the frame just from pulling back on the rubber straps to put on her head. She only used it for maybe 6-8 dives.

Same here, same mask. LDS replaced it with a better model and i paid the difference. I now use it as a backup and use my Atomic Frameless as primary
