So here' my Goldilocks fin problem. I have:
  • Several pairs of XL Jet Fins which are excellent, but too small for my drysuit boots.
  • One pair of XXL F1's which are also great, but actually too big for the drysuit boots.
  • One pair of Super RK3's which fit perfectly, but I need something heavier to combat floaty-foot trim in doubles.
  • I also have one pair of OMS XL Slipstream fins, which are identical to the Jets but lighter. Planned to use as a travel fin, but would trade them if necessary.
I need a heavy tech fin that's larger than the XL jet but smaller than the XXL F1. RK3 "Super" size is close.

If anyone has an inverse scenario, or any of the fins mentioned in the title, I'd like to trade. I'm also open to buying if you have a good deal to offer. Or selling some of the fins that don't suit me, especially the big F1's. I can't be the only trial-and-error fin hoarder out there!

A local deal in New England / Greater Boston / Southern NY would be ideal but we could figure out shipping if necessary.

Hey there fellow fin hoarder!

I've got a brand new set of XXL Jets sitting in my closet that are too big for my feet. I'd love to trade them for a pair of XLs.

PM sent.

I'll post some pics of the fins I have when I get home in a couple days.

The problem with jets is, which era are they? I have early US made in L tiny foot pocket, I have second era US made in XL with a foot pocket that is not suitable for anything but thin skin wet booties and second era XXL which are damn big but work well with thick soled neo boots or drysuit boots (I wear size 15 shoes and jets work best with heavier soles to make up for the short pocket) and I have new Taiwan made xxl which are a little bigger than the old xl but smaller than the old xxl, it will help to know exactly what you are looking for since you can’t try them on. There are also a newest jet with a small hole in the tip that may have a different foot pocket size, my buddy has a set of those and I can measure them tomorrow (xxl).

@lexvil You make a great point. I'll post pictures and measurements here tomorrow so folks that know more about Jets (ie. literally everyone) can chime in.

Ok took a few pics!

Here are pics of the XL Jet Fins. These are the old ones, made in USA. Or maybe it was the 13 colonies back then. Note these are the "lightning" version with a different (better) rubber compound than the earlier ones without the lightning bolt.

Obviously the measurement is a little weird because of the shape and flexibility but the foot pocket opening is roughly 3" tall by 4.25" wide. Maybe a little wider. If anyone is going to measure their boot with calipers these fins could definitely accommodate a boot a little bigger than those dimensions accounting for flex.
