I recently completed my OW confined water and classroom training, I will be doing the checkout dives in May or so (I live in PA). Now on to my question, every week I had a different DM and DI. I was told that this gives the student maximum exposure to as many seasoned divers as possible. I have to admit that I did learn a lot from them. I never ran into a conflicting view or opinion but they had different "hot buttons" that they preached (Which I thought was a good thing). My question how often is this done? A co-worker took classes at a different shop and had the same DI, then again it was a private class for him and his wife. I did not have a problem with training. Would this multi-instructor format tend to let things slip through the cracks about diver challenges from one week to the next?

Thanks

As long as there is good communication between the DM's and DI's I wouldn't see a problem with it. If(just picking a skill for sake of discussion) you had trouble with clearing a fully flooded mask and that wasn't noted by instructor A so that instructor B knew to work with you on tha skill then there could be a problem.

I get the impression that the group that you had as instructors had good communications.

I would assume so, I was just wondering if that format is that odd. The shop has quite a few DM and DI so maybe that is a strength.

Thanks For the comments
