Muck Divers and GLWC at Mermet 9/4 & 9/5

Ok, here's a theme idea for this trip. Which concrete animal looks best sitting in the drivers seat of which underwater piece of equipment in Mermet. So, bring your 100 pound lift bags and we'll have some fun.

Couple of things I forgot to say. Let me know if you are going to attend. We also need to figure out what item in the quary needs to be moved this time. hehehe

Got other things going on that weekend, and that 4.5 hour drive is a pain.

Maybe another time and possibily we can meet at Haigh.

Anyone want to dive Mermet Labor Day weekend? Since it's getting dark ealier now, maybe we can go to the Casino after the night dive Saturday night for some dry land fun.

Anyway, I'll be there Sat, Sun, and Monday. Usually stay at the Best Western in Metropolis.

Any takers?

Ok, gang, here's another chance to come out to Mermet and meet your neighbors. I'm looking for people to join the fun at Mertmet on 9/4 and 9/5.

Bring your warm and snugglies, there will be at least one if not more nice refreshing dives to the bottom of the pool. Generally, it's around 42 degrees down there.

Night dive Saturday night is always fun. Not to mention all the other entertaining things there are to do and see there.

So, come on down. I'll set up a pavillion under the Midwest Muck Divers. Details of where the pavilion will be located, will be posted here so look for updates.

Just to let you know. We usually stay in Paducha. Go to Froggy's, Cocky's, or a club right by Cocky's. Forgot the name. By 11:30pm they start getting full. Cocky's and the other are big night clubs. Friday night go to Willy Jacks in Metropolis or Froggy's late in Paducha. Sat or Sun Cocky's.

We stay at the Executive INN. I think they have a coupon on there website. $47 a night or so. There are a couple others that are cheaper though. Stayed at the Motel 6 a couple times too... But Executive Inn has the Silver Saddle Bar in it. Kind of nice. Older crowd. And you don't have to drive anywhere... They usually have a band on the weekends. The other three clubs don't. And the band usually play's bluesy rock. Definately an older crowd. I like the 23-27 year old crowd. And that's at Froggy's or Cocky's. Although. Both clubs have all age groups in them. But it's mostly dance music at Cocky's.

Casino is nice. But I spend all my money on dive gear... And buying a 25 year old a beer and dancing is more fun.. And yea, I like young ones... They're more fun...LOL :flame:
