Moving to Singapore for a year

Hi All. I'm moving to Singapore for a year and I'm looking to do some weekend diving. Any recommendations on what's local in Malaysia?

I mean non flying trips over a few days, not flying off for two weeks (which I happily do now).

Hey! I’m going to try the bus from Singapore to Mersing and out boat to Tioman and so on. If you like a bus buddy in March when I fly down and maybe some diving give me a shout!

I did my initial dives on Perhential Kecil in April 2010. I had a great time then, don't know if the conditions have changed.

I took an overnight bus from Malacca to Kota Bharu and then a taxi to Kuala Besut. Then speedboat to Kecil. It was an adventure but all worked out.
