Hi, I am new to this board. I learned to dive in Roaton Honduras never logged my dives after my PADI OW and never thought I would do it again after I left. Well, I eneded up working next at the red sea and got into all over again. It became an addiction and now I am moving to Tauranga to do some SSI courses so I can teach. My other interests in Tauranga are kayaking and ropes courses. Shoudl be a good 5 months starting in October.

welcome to the board, and the country :)

Hi princess and welcome to SB, there probably is room here on the board for another princess, we have several. New Zealand? Lucky you! Good luck and stay in touch with us when you get down there.

Hey welcome to the board and a HUGE welcome to our green pastures.
Tauranga is an awesome spot with some world class diving near by. You have Mayor Island, the wrecks of the Taioma and Taupo not to mention White Island an hours drive south. White Island is an active volcano and still spews smoke and ash into the air, White island catches the tip of the East Auckland Current, which brings juvenile tropical fish from the north, before it heads back out to sea.
Just North of Tauranga you have the Coromandal Peninsula with the Mercury Islands, The Aldermans, Great Barrier Island and a host of other superb dive locations.

If you make it down near Wellington then be sure to drop me a line and I will show you some of the South Coast (Invite open to all Kiwi's-or any others living here) and the Marlborough Sounds(Which includes the wreck of the Mikhail Lermontov-A Russian cruise liner that went down a few years ago).

:icecream1 Hi there princessmc, I just wanted to make you feel welcome, when I joined many people introduced themselves. On Scuba Board, you will find there are many informative divers here. It’s a good place too, for meeting other divers. If you ever want to talk feel free to PM me.

Enjoy being a member and Safe Diving. From Matt.

Wow!
Thanks all I do feel welcome. I guess this site like every boat I have been on is just teaming with people who want to make new friends. I think most divers are outgoing friendly people! Thanks for the support...
Oh and DandyDon, I do travel heaps! I just got into diving so I have only dove three locations:
Roaton Honduras
Sinai Egypt
And
Eilat Israel
But I have traveled to many more.
