Just a quick one (I hope) due to a car accident in my teens, a broken jaw left me with a slight gap between my upper and lower pallet on the left of my mouth, now this is not major, 1/16 inch possibly, but it means I often drop my reg from my mouth on a dive, again its not a major problem, I am quite used to it now, and just replace it without thought, however it is not ideal as you can imagine, I got round this a little bit by winding an elastic band round one of the mouth grips, but its far from perfect.
I was told by my instructor that there is a mouldable type of mouthpiece that you can get an exact fit ! but I have not been able to find it any place, so my question is if there is anyone who has heared or knows of this product.

... agree on the Sea-Cure... use one myself. But... if you're using an AirSource (or equiv.) instead of an "octo" secondary you might want to consider adding an octo to your set up if you do put a Sea-Cure on your primary.

In a 'share air' situation, handing somebody your primary with a moulded mouthpiece can be a kind of weird experience for them... even if they know in advance... and in a real emergency that could complicate what should be a simple hand off... I ran into this assisting an instructor during a class... I got the wierdest look from him when he popped my molded mouthpiece in... ;-)

I have the above setup and have not had any issues with a seacure on my primary during air sharing .. I did cut down the length of the mouthpiece bite area so they are a more normal length

the best thing about that style mouthpiece is that I dont not have to bite my reg for it to stay in place

Also, when molding it do not bite down too far, just enough to conform to your jaw .. you want to leave mouth open enough allow plenty of air (yeah, I had to get another one)

Seacure. It's great and can be remolded as needed. Get the one to fit your regulator. Check out their link that grf88 provided earlier in this thread.
