I'm looking for recommendations for a mask that is both good with a moustache and has prescription lenses. I was going to get a SeaVision Ultra because that was mentioned in other posts, but they don't make lenses for it that are my strength. I have done the trimming thing with my current mask, but didn't have very good results.

I ware contacts .I can not get lenses for my strength of eye vision. and as for the mustache I just trim w/a strait raiser just under my nose about an 1/8" so the skirt of the mask makes contact with skin . Us may have to trim a little more depending on your facial features

Yep, a surprisingly tiny amount of skin will make a great seal on the mask, I also dab a little silicon grease on the top lip, and have never had any issues with leaks. Keep the tache!

My mask is a Mares X-Vision Liquidskin which has a super soft skirt.

Unfortunately this is no longer available, but thanks.

Have a look at my profile pic. I have glasses and a moustache.

I simply use the pre-ground blanks, nothing fancy (+5.5 and +6). I get by without the bifocals.

As to the moustache, I've had a moustache and beard for over 35 years. The simplest thing for me has been to trim a bit lower below the nose. Easy, no fuss, no muss.

I have a full beard and moustache also. I use a product called"Unpetroleum Jelly" that I purchase at Whole Foods store for about $6.50 a tube. It is similar to Vaseline petroleum jelly except it is not a petroleum base. I smear a small amount above my lip and it makes a good seal without harming the silicone mask skirt.I have passed the suggestion on to a number of other divers who use it with success.
Good luck

I trim my moustache and have good results unless i am inverted to get a good photo angle without hitting the reef. I went to a mask with a purge valve to make clearing a mask without using a hand easy and quick. I use an Ocean Master Z-2 and was able to buy corrective lenses off the shelf.
