If I am incorrect then a Doctor, Medical Mod or someone please correct me, but all the tonsils do really is act as filters, and someone with Tonsilititis like I have had, has to deal with Inflammed, Enlarged, and Infected Tonsils which can cause extreme discomfort, and possibley block, or restrict my air ways preventing me from being able to breath, but when you have had this problem for 3 years like I have with the constant off and on Strep Throat then its time to get the suckers removed...

How about you research that on WebMD and tell us what you find?

But since you asked Jax, I looked it up- Reasons to have a Tonsillectomy: Chronic Recurring Strep Throat, Enlarged Tonsils that restrict breathing, Dificulty Swallowing, Tonsilititus that doesn't go away even after medications, 5 or more episodes of Tonsilititus pr year... Etc... Jax Everything listed above is what I struggle with, for the past 3 years I have had 21 Tonsilititus Infections, it really affects my life severly to the point I want sugery, my Father, Primary Care Phsycsian (Pediatrition), Meghan, Her Mom, and my ENT think its in my best intrest to get them out...

I almost had to drive myself to the hospital last night, but After some Lemon, Honey, salt water gargleing i was a bit better, considering going now, but hesiatent to just wait to go to Doc apt at 8:15am... Hopefully Amxocillin, Augmentan, or a Shot of some type of Antibiotic will help... I hope...

Littearly haven't slept in 2 days because the pain is so intense... I can't swallow lol, not even to take Advil or what ever, I am going through Halls Honey Lemon Cough drops like popcorn, and constantly drinking hot Salt, Lemon, Honey Water To keep the pain at bay, I littearly Can't stand it anymore...
