I'm a Fish!
New Marineland is open and ready for all divers and De-Briefers. Friday opening activities are fun, and a good time should be had by all who decide to come here.

Diving conditions will always be challenging and encountered at you're own risk! PLEASE consider bringing an experienced diver with you to do Long Point if it's you're first time here.

Treasure Island = Goff Island = Montage
OML = Old Marine Land = Terranea

i wonder how long before the old names fall out of use... 10 yrs?

It will always be Marineland to me. I like what they've done to the place, but from the high tide line down, it's the same as it's been since I was born.

Pretty typical that Marineland is back open and the swell forecast is showing pretty nasty conditions for next week. I don't have much hope for this weekend either. A buddy of mine did a 120 reef night dive last night and said he got at most 5ft of vis.:shakehead: Well at least it lets me not feel so bad that I'm infected with this nasty stomach flu. I'd be dry either way.

Conditions got worse today. One to two feet vis, which made it really hard to look for the video lights I dropped sometime during the surface swim. They're about 50-100 feet away from the kelp between the cove and midway to the point. I didn't feel them fall off, but as soon as I noticed they were gone I dropped down and began search patterns with no luck.
