Living in Michigan, we usually use dry suits in the Great Lakes (varying the insulation to thin polypros to thick thinsulates); even during the summer with warmer water (but warm is all relative). How does buoyancy vary from fresh water to salt water with a dry suit?

One good tool that I have found for planning what type of exposure suit I will be wearing is using the NOAA web site. They have water temps, air temps, wave conditions, etc. I've attached a link to the site. Click on the area of interest and spend a few minutes looking through the various info. It's a pretty neat site. NDBC - Southeast USA Recent Marine Data

Also, I will be in Morehead City this weekend. I will post a dive report on Saturday & Sunday.

It was great meeting you. Wish you could have made it out with us on Saturday as well. Next time we'll make it happen! Have a safe trip back home and we'll see you this summer!!!!!

Thanks Nema. It was a great weekend and the weather couldn't have been better. Mike and I had a great time and I know we will be back soon and often. I also wanted to tell you that the crew of the Midnight Express were great. Helpful, friendly, and very knowledgable; one couldn't ask for more.

BTW, give Luke and Neal my best. Let 'em know if they shoot up this way for some cold water quarry diving, I'll take them to Dutch. Luke had mentioned he would like to check Dutch out.

Thanks again for the hospitality. See you soon!

Frankie

I'll make sure to pass the word of your gratitude on to the crew of the Midnight!

Luke and Neal are great aren't they! Their excitment is contagious..I'm glad you ran into them at Beach Bumz!!!

See you later this summer!!!!

N!!
