Here's the scenario....
Mike has some gear on consignment in his shop. He posts the approximate price the seller wants but is open to offers. I send him an IM with an offer I think may be a tad low but not unreasonable. I get an IM back that says the seller originally accepted an offer $100 lower than mine but it fell through, so it's mine for that figure, not my $100 higher offer.
You can't beat this kind of honesty. Mike could have easily pocketed the extra $100. He will be getting my business from now on and I'd suggest you check with him for your equiment needs.
ps... It was a smokin' deal at my original offer, even sweeter at $100 less.
