I know this is short notice (and possibly not kosher with the board rules but I'll chance it)...my band Floorian is taking a road trip to Philadelphia to take part in an arts & music event called, I think, "New Planet Trampoline". Anyway, if there are any SB members in the Philly area who are interested in some very cool music and might be interested in meeting me, I'd love to see you! It's at the Rotunda on Walnut St., wherever that is, and there is NO charge to get in. Be sure to check out our website, btw...http://www.floorian.com

cheers

So how did it go??

Admittedly, travelling to Philly from Ireland would have been tricky- although being an avid drummer myself, I'm always interested in music!! ;)

Coolness...a fellow musicmonger! Glad to hear from you. How are things in Dublin? (btw, we have our own Dublin here, a suburb of Columbus Ohio :) )

The show itself went well. The drive there and back were hell though, especially when we got lost finding the place and fighting massive fatigue and a bench seat in the van trying to get some sleep. And I got to see my girlfriend while I was in Philly. Yay :) But yes, 1000 miles on the road in one day is no fun.

Also, to clear up some muddle-headed mistakes: the event in Philadelphia was actually called Gateway To Moon Base Alpha and featured The Great Quentini (wacked out performance artist), The Red Masque (supplying atonal accompaniment to a Russian art film called "The Color Of Pomegranates") and Powerlunch (we were on the road home by the time of their set).

The New Planet Trampoline is a Cleveland band we played a gig with the next night here in Columbus, along with another called Halophane. Both excellent bands. I'll let you know well in advance next time so you can book a flight. lol

cheers
