Hi all,

Wanted to bump this and ask about DVP rentals in Monterey area. Planning to go diving to Point Lobos in early Jan and would like to rent a scooter then. Ideally, I'd like to rent an Suex XJ, but something roughly equivalent would work

Aquarius rents Blacktips and Piranha P2s, or at least they did last year.

Maybe call Backscatter also.
Thanks so much @SaltyWombat!

Aquarius indeed has scooters! They’re so expensive, but oh well. I’ll go for one.

Do you by any chance know which shops in the Monterey area rent doubles. Aquarius didn’t, unfortunately

Aquarius might require proof that you know how to operate one too.

I'm not aware of any shops that rent backmount doubles. Cannery Row Aquatics had a doubles set they were in the process of assembling for rentals, but they recently went out of business.

Update: Aquarius requires a cert in order to rent a dpv.
I don't think any dive shops rent doubles, however GUE/BAUE is a good place to ask.
