I did that already, and my wife was pissed!!!

Dove Middle Reef @ Lobos today. Outside the cove saw 40 ft. vis. Water Temp. was 51. Some surge, sunny and warm topside with light & variable winds. Lings were out and about. Got to use my new video camera! Not bad, though I need lots of practice. Someday I may be brave enough to post a link or two. Get out there if you can, the weekend sees the weather turning. Nothing to flashy. It's a XTC 300 mounted on a plate with a Sola 800. Works good! Comes with its own housing. Carol from Bamboo Reef had one on the Vision last month and got some great footage. It's good to about 12 inches or so from the subject. It can fit in a larger BC pocket even.

Checkout dives today for UCSC. Water was 57F 40ft and up. Viz was spectacular. Crystal clear 20ft vis, no particles in the water; would probably be more if there was more ambient light.

Rain drizzles lightly till 12noon. Highlights of the dive were a Thornback ray, octopi's, Monkey face eels, and baby pycnopodias. Few tiny salp chains here and there.
No surge to speak of. I was quite impressed w/ today

Breakwater.
I was with the noisy group of college kids by the two white vans in the lower lot. We all had tanks with orange shoulders.
I was either the smurf in the parka before noon or the one with the green long hose and burgendy pockets on my wetsuit in the afternoon.
