We are going to Fantasy Island in about a week and wondered if anyone has intimate knowledge of the new rooms so we can avoid the monkey thefts off our balcony. last year we did not have a problem but maybe we were lucky to get an upstairs room that the monkeys could not access. I am having visions of a cute monkey begging for some french toast at breakfast and then realizing that he is wearing my dive computer.

.......realizing that he is wearing my dive computer.

No worries as they are all PADI Nitrox certified. :D
If worse comes to worse, you can always buy it back from the Capuchin's (they are a top rated re-seller on eBay).

Back in March we stayed on the 1st floor in the wing to the right of the lobby. Had absolutely no problem with drying our gear on the deck or the monkeys taking off with the gear. On our last day when we were drying off our gear on the beach racks we were told not to leave our gear alone as the monkeys would take the gear and play (tear them apart) with it. The monkeys are kind of cute but I would not trust them.

One morning we left our room to head to the dive shop. I heard a funny noise from above, and then it started raining sticks.

We looked up and saw one of the criminals lounging. :D

Believe me, there are no balconies that they can't access if they like... They can get anywhere they want... But there might be areas they prefer over others... Probably anywhere with trees near the balcony...

We didn,t have a problem drying towels and swimsuits on the balcony. The dive geear we left at the lockers... Dive computers and such we left IN the room...

:coffee:

Check out the lastest on RotanMan's post of "I told you it was over-this is the proof"---I think that I posted a really good recipe for monkey fricassee there :rofl3::rofl3::rofl3:

When we had to move to another room last week, during the night, I left the door open so the others in our group might see something was amiss. I had left a half empty can of Coke Lite on the nightstand. The next morning my wife got a few pics of the rascal drinking the remainder.
