Ok, i understand now, we do have some kind of Damp rid stuff, another brand or local name maybe, but should work.Just need to seal with duck tape a plastic bag and try.
Thanks again
There are several chemicals with similar drying properties - if you don't find anything in consumer outlets, try a chemical supply house or manufacturer who uses the stuff, or mail-order. Just a thought as well - a jar with a sealing lid may work a little better over the long run than a plastic bag. Standard plastic bags are not fully airtight.

It will be interesting to know if putting it in the sun in your car works - leave it out of the plastic bag or the water will have no where to go. It would have to be a hot sun and with the car closed up enough to really heat up. I don't see much happening in the oven until the temp gets above 175F, and it turns much bluer at 250F than at 200F. I looked this up a few months ago and the manufacturer recommendation for regeneration is in the range of 300F+, if I recall correctly. But the MM cases won't take that heat, as has been shown.

the funny thing is that the little plastic bag turned blue, not the munchers....still pink

OK, done all the steps, bought "Bola seca" peruvian Damp rid, zip bag, and the munchers turned blue now, thanks save me a lot $ in shipping costs .

Darn, I've got two 10-packs of the capsules I want to get rid of. Now that the secret is out how to re-generate them, no one will want these. :shakehead:

Haha, you could Ebay them with $1 each for postage, maybe? Let me know how it goes. I have one extra pack.

At a $1/day, I didn't mind replacing them so much - but I hated the way they went bad before use. As soon as I opened the ziplock to remove one, the rest started turning - and any unused ones I saved for the next trip were worthless by then. So now I can preserve the new ones, as well as rejuve the old ones as a bonus. :D

I didn't remember that they turned that fast after opening but I might have put them in a jar. That's a good idea, maybe I'll put them up for $1 or so each. I'm looking for some Damp Rid to store them in the meantime. Walgreen's here says they don't carry it anymore.

$6.95 each sounded high, but it's $7 for 10, or 3x10 for $20 I see - with free shipping? Looks neat but wouldn't work with Damp Rid rejuvenating as the DR powder that must be cleaned from the MMs surely would foul the stickies.
