Well I got an email today from Dave with the Pac Star:

"Billy, I am happy to say that that trip is full, We do have another boat going on 4\1 if you would be interested in that...... sorry but thank you for thinking of the star"

Oh well I was really looking forward to taking pics of SB Island.

Maybe next time.

Billy

Would have enjoyed making this trip...but I'll be at a Concert in Vegas the same day... Hope the weather holds up and you guys/gals have a great time..:14:

Christian....I'm hearing rain in the forecast....how will it affect us (if at all?)
The current forecast is saying that it will be mostly sunny with a slight chance of drizzles. It's supposed to be around 70º on Friday and maybe slightly lower on Saturday.

I don't think that this will affect us, but the captain won't really know until we are under way. If conditions are not favorable, then we'll probably end up on the front side of Catalina.

Since you're going diving it really doesn't matter, you're going out on this boat to get wet, aren't you?

Rain affects shore diving due to pollution and run-off, but out in at the islands you should be fine.

Mostly it means it'll be a cold day, and when topside everyone will be getting cozy in the cabin rather than hanging around outside.

I wish I could go, have fun!

LOL...Kim I wasn't thinking of getting wet as much as wanting to get up to SB....but I guess it won't make a difference...the weather forecast looks like it's going to be beautiful!!! See everyone tonight!!!

It was great seeing you all yesterday on our excursion to Santa Barbara Island!

On our first dive we were treated to diving with 75 to 100 sea lions! They were very playful with me tugging on my elbows, fins and one even put it's entire mouth around my canister light and "barked" at it. That was the "Elvis" of the crowd and thought he had found an open microphone. ;)

The food was great and the captain and crew showed us a good time. We left at 3am and most of us on the boat slept through the mild swells on the 4 hour trip out to SBI

I look forward to seeing many of you on the Raptor next month on April 28th. It will be a treat to visit with our very own Rickster on that boat as DM.

Be sure to go to the thread about the Mo2vation dive on the Raptor to Anacapa Island on April 28th and sign up. Just like all of our other boats these are open boats that are also being filled up by the boat owner. Here's a link to it, but I've set it up as the replacement sticky thread for this one.

See you all in a couple of weeks for the next Wrinkles Dive and Campout at Leo Carrillo on April 14th and 15th. It will be a great way to kick off the warmer surface intervals tht are coming!
